“Nick was incredible with all of our guests, but particularly with the kids. I don’t know how he did it, but he captured some beautiful moments with our daughter, who normally hides away from the camera!”

Hi, I’m Nick.

(Sorry, my name isn’t Huckleberry)

How I like to work

I am full-time professional photographer. During the week I work in advertising and editorial, and at weekends, it’s weddings. My commercial work hugely influences the way I shoot weddings — my main goal when photographing your wedding is telling the story. Above all else, I am a story-teller.

I have a style, in both the look of my photographs and the way that I shoot.
The way I shoot is immersive. I get in the thick of it, go unnoticed at times, and make friends and make memories at others.
I’m on assignment and the best stuff happens on the inside.
However, it is YOUR day and, by golly, I can follow a brief.
You need to get some formal family pics for the grandparents? No problem.
You want me to stay out of way? Say no more.

What I will deliver to you is a cinematic, nostalgic and visually-striking set of images, that coherently tell the story of your day. Big headline moments, small details, unseen interactions, most importantly — ALL THE FEELINGS.

Hi, I’m Nick.

I’m a photographer, a husband, and a father of two kids (girl 4, boy 7). I don’t drink tea or coffee but I do drink Diet Coke a lot. Too much! It’s a problem. I can’t sit still, I love making things and I’m told I’m a nightmare on holiday.

I’ve been photographing weddings since I was 16, so that’s over 20 years now. I got paid £60 for my first wedding, a friend from my photography class was photographing his sister’s wedding, but he wanted to be in some of the photos too, so they hired me.

I like to keep my commercial photography work separate from my wedding photography, that’s why I came up with the name Huckleberry. It seemed literary and kind of whimsical. You can see my commercial work at www.nickwarner.co.uk, if you’re interested!

What does it cost?

The most important part of story-telling and documentary-making is BEING THERE to get the shot.
For that reason I only offer full day coverage, not half days and not ceremony-only.

My wedding photography starts at £1800 for 8 hours of coverage, with longer days available at an extra cost.
My most popular package is 10 hours of coverage for £2200.
This is usually enough time to take you from wedding prep in the morning right through to the first dance and the party.

A man sits on a sofa in the background, while a woman adjusts the bride's dress at her feet, and another helps with her shoes.
A man is giving a speech at an outdoor wedding reception, smiling at a young woman who is laughing and looking up at him, surrounded by seated guests.

I’ve since moved back to my home county of Norfolk and so I love shooting in Norfolk and Suffolk, a really beautiful part of the country for weddings.

If you really want bang-for-your-buck maybe that’s the way to go.

I will shoot 2000–3000 pictures on your wedding day and and I will deliver between 300 and 500 to you.

  • I have made a few wedding films that I’m really proud of. If you love my style, but have already booked a photographer, I will happily come and make you a wedding video. I am perfectly equipped with gimbals and drones. Email me for more information about wedding videography.

I also work with a very talented film maker if you want me to photograph your wedding and you would like help finding a videographer

  • I mostly shoot on my own, but I have two very trusted second-shooters that I can bring along at additional cost.

This is usually only necessary if you have a very large wedding venue or if you want prep shots of both the bride and groom at the same time.

My second shooter cost depends on the length and location of the day, but roughly speaking it will cost you about £100 per hour that the second shooter is required.
